OUR STORY | The Cats Behind The Name.

 

Hello! I am so happy that you have found us.

I am Yushing and I am the creative human behind the shop. Kubo and Lucy is named after my two cats (Kubo, male, gray tabby) and Lucy (female, calico). I spend most of my time curating, sourcing, designing and all the fun stationery items you see here.

This all began when I was living in New York City. I needed an outlet for my love for stationery. So I started my business as a side hustle in 2019, in my studio apartment.

Fast forward 5 years later and a couple of lay offs, I am now in Los Angeles and working on my business full time.

Growing up, my sister and I would save up our pocket money to buy all kind of stationery items, I currently source stationeries from Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, locally in the United States and working with independent illustrators and artist.

It has always been a dream of mine to open a shop that offers fun, cute and functional stationery. Thank you for making this happen.
