Planners on vacation

Posted by Yushing Foo on

As summer holidays are approaching for most of us (or maybe it’s started already), you’re probably thinking of a little get away whether it’s near or far. One of the interesting aspects of a vacation is what planner to take with you, at least it is for me.

We always start with I want to pack light but somehow end up with a huge tote! So let’s break it down and be practical this summer.

We’re going away from home to enjoy time with our loved ones, I start my journey by asking myself how much time will I have to journal or plan? If my time is limited throughout the day, I’d leave my planner and just take my journal to collect memories and write in the moment. I would stick with one journal - in my case my travelers notebook, passport for the ease of portability.

I will be honest, with two young ones I will hardly have time to proper journal with stamps and ink pads. So my travelers notebook will have a sticker release refill for all my favourite stickers, washi and PET tapes. Now let’s think about writing tools… we all have our preferred pen, I love my sarasa nano 0.3mm nib sold by Kuboandlucy and my trusted fountain pen to give the journalling a bit of colour…

That is it!

For my current situation this is perfect, I don’t want to take too much and occupy myself with my hobby instead of being present in the moment with my loved ones. I’m sure this set up might change as life goes on. I’d love to know how you decide what you would take on your vacation…
